To make the website work, we need to collect a few technical things:
- Your Files: We store the files you upload so others can download them.
- File Info: We save the file's name, size, and how many times it gets downloaded.
- IP Addresses: We temporarily check your IP address to block spam and hackers.
3. When We Delete Data
We delete files automatically based on how big they are and when they were last downloaded (see our Terms for the exact days). If a file isn't downloaded for 7 days after uploading, we delete it. Once deleted, the file is gone forever.
4. Cookies & Ads
Zipyshare is completely free because we show ads. Our ad partners might use "cookies" (small text files on your computer) to show you relevant ads. We also use basic analytics to see how many people visit our site, but it doesn't track who you are personally.
5. Sharing Your Info
We never sell your information. The only time we share data is if the law or police absolutely require us to (like for illegal content).

How long are files kept?expand_more
It depends on the file size, and the timer restarts every time someone downloads the file: up to 50 MB is kept for 180 days, 50–250 MB for 90 days, 250 MB–1 GB for 30 days, 1–3 GB for 14 days, and 3–5 GB for 7 days. Files that are never downloaded within 7 days of upload are removed as abandoned.
Are there any file size limits?expand_more
Yes, each file can be up to 5 GB. You can upload as many files as you like, and there are no limits on how many times they can be downloaded.
Is my data private and secure?expand_more
Your files are completely private unless you share the link. We compute cryptographic hashes to filter banned content and abuse, ensuring a safe platform.
